Finland R is a magnificent black colt with four white socks by the imported sire Fiji R. Fiji R is currently competing and winning at FEI level with Young Rider Breanna Tilitzki in the saddle.
Finland R is out of Jamaica R who is by Jive Magic who in turn is becoming well recognised not only as a Grand Prix horse himself but as a sire of top-performing young dressage horses.
The grandmother of Finland R, Melissa R, is by Richmeed Medallion who was the only May Sherif stallion in Australia. May Sherif to this day is the only stallion in the world to sire two World Cup Freestyle winners in Andiamo ridden by Sven Rothenberger for Germany and Matador ridden by Kyra Kyrklund for Finland.
Right down on the bottom line is Sojourn who is by Salute, who is probably right this moment the most significant contributing stallion to Australian Olympic and international competition horses - Victory Salute, DP Christopher, Stirling Stilton – all Grand Prix dressage horses who have competed successfully in the international arena. Mystery Whisper, F1 Pharenelli, Staccato, Panamera, Sandhills Brilliare – are all advanced eventers winning at the top carrying Salute blood.
Finland R is drop-dead gorgeous to look at and moves to bring the house down. A seriously exciting individual. As is the case with most Fiji R offspring, Finland R has a wonderful and friendly temperament.
